Hello. My name's Anthony. I use creativity and craft to help brands solve communications problems.
I do the ideas bit and the stringing-sentences-together bit. And I really like both.
From 2006-17 I worked at VCCP. I snuck in as their first digital copywriter then morphed into their go-to creative writer on easyJet, Which? and Hiscox. I became one of the agency’s shareholders and had my work recognised at the Annas, the British Arrows, the IAB Creative Showcase and the Campaign Photo Awards.
I'm the one on the left.
Now I freelance as a creative lead and senior copywriter - for agencies and directly with brands and start-ups. I’ve done gigs for Livity, Albion, MBA, PD3, Publicis and MullenLowe among others. I’ve worked directly with RADA on their tone-of-voice and advertising. And before that I was the lead on a major anti-bullying campaign for the Royal Foundation. It was supported by the big tech and media companies; I finally got an ad on the BT Tower.
In my pre-agency life I worked in TV and publishing, including a stint producing a daily pop news bulletin for MTV. I am still receiving medical attention for a Backstreet Boys earworm.
I’d like to come and help you solve whatever creative problem you’ve got. You might be after a bit of copy nip-and-tuck and want a fast, award-winning writer. Perhaps you're seeking to transform a category and need another brain to knock that yearning into something coherent. Or maybe you just need a senior member of your team who knows how to get things made but is still looking for fresh, exciting ways to make them.
Whatever it is, get in touch and I’ll try my best to help.

"Ant lives up to his name. He’s small, works hard and can carry a big creative idea with surprising ease. If ever you have a knotty creative problem, or a big opportunity you can’t unlock, I would recommend Ant without reservation."
Charles Vallance, Founder and Chairman, VCCP
"Ant transforms creative ideas into brilliant copy. Ant took the ideal collaborative approach with us, asking great questions, responding with insight and creativity. He knows what works. He refined our tone of voice with ease."
HELEN SLATER, MARKETING DIRECTOR, RADA
“Anthony is a trusted first port of call whenever we need high quality, lateral thinking – his work rate is prolific and he always delivers on brief and on time.”
JAMES MIDDLEHURST, MANAGING PARTNER, MBASTACK
"Anthony fitted in seamlessly with the team, grasped a complex brief from the get-go and delivered some excellent work. Highly recommended."
ADAM LAWRENSON, FORMER ECD, ALBION
"Ant is a joy to work with; fast, fun and extremely creative. Because Ant was a ‘digital’ creative back in the day when most creatives thought digital was just banners and skyscrapers, he’s had a head start on the rest of the industry in regard to devising content designed to spread through social media. This means he also understands and can recommend how best to structure the distribution of the content, so you get a creative and media planner in one. Lastly, he’s got good taste in music: the stooges, rare soul and free jazz. Don’t hold it against him."
